1The short version

In short: we collect what we need to run our games and keep them fair and safe. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and our website has no cookies or trackers.
- When you play Blubbi online we store your Steam ID and display name, your game progress, your chat messages and play-session analytics.
- We use them to run the game, keep it fair and safe, and make it better.
- Our providers (Valve/Steam, Supabase, Discord, GitHub) process data for us. Nobody buys it.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, at any time.
- Our website doesn't use cookies, analytics or ad trackers.
2Who we are
Lorendil Interactive Inc., a Canadian federal corporation ("Lorendil", "we", "us" or "our"), operates lorendil.com, the game Blubbi and our other games and tools. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
3What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information processed through our website, our game clients (on Steam and in the browser), our game servers, community spaces we run, support channels, and the tools we use to publish our own content on social media (section 6). It applies together with our Terms of Service.
4Information we collect in our games

In short: your Steam ID and name, your Blubbies and progress, what you say in chat, how you play, and the technical bits every online game needs.
4.1 Account and identity (Steam)
When you play online, we link your game data to your Steam account: your Steam user identifier ("Steam ID"), which is the primary key for your profile, and your Steam display name, which we copy when your profile is created. We may also store an in-game display name used for chat, leaderboards, mail, trading and similar features. We never receive your Steam password.
4.2 Gameplay, progression and economy
We store what's needed to run server-authoritative systems: currency balances (such as cubes) and related counters; inventory and item records (types, quantities, rarity, equip state, timestamps); your Blubbies and pets and their data (names you give them, care and mood values, levels, traits, upgrades and similar metadata); trades, market listings, gifts and mail; event participation; and optional moderation or integrity fields on your profile (for example staff labels or abuse-related counters).
4.3 Chat and realtime features
If you use chat, we process and store your messages, sender identifiers, display names, timestamps and the presentation shown with them (for example your Blubbi and cosmetics). Chat is delivered to other players in near real time and may be relayed to and from our Discord server. We use stored chat to run the feature and for moderation, safety, debugging and quality assurance.
4.4 Leaderboards and public presentation
We store and display competitive metrics linked to your display name, such as levels, collections and event scores.
4.5 Legal acceptances
We record which versions of our Terms and this policy you accepted, and when, so we can show updated terms where appropriate.
4.6 Play-session analytics
When you use online features we collect analytics about your play sessions, linked to your Steam ID: session start and end, interactions with in-game places and features, their order, and the time between them. We use this internally to operate, debug, balance and improve our games. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
4.7 Technical and security data
Our servers and providers receive technical data typical of internet communications, such as IP addresses, timing, request metadata, error logs and security signals, to deliver, secure and rate-limit the Services, troubleshoot problems and detect cheating, abuse or fraud.
4.8 Platform features on your device
Some features use your platform's APIs locally, such as Steam Rich Presence. What is shared with Valve through them is governed by your Steam settings and Valve's policies.
5Our website

In short: no cookies, no analytics, no ads. Just a page full of Blubbies.
lorendil.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it doesn't ask you for personal information. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect its service. The site loads its body font from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when the font is downloaded. Links to Steam, Discord and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
7How we use information
We use information to: provide and operate our games and online features; authenticate and link accounts; sync progression; run chat, leaderboards, events, trading, mail and similar systems; enforce our Terms; detect, investigate and limit cheating, fraud and abuse; moderate content; analyse and improve our games; publish and measure our own marketing content; communicate with you about support or important notices; comply with law; and defend our legal rights.
8Legal bases
Depending on where you live, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Services); legitimate interests (security, anti-abuse, service delivery and improvement, moderation, play-session analytics and promoting our games); legal obligation; and consent where required.
10International transfers
Your information may be processed in Canada, the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11How long we keep it
We keep information as long as needed to operate our games, comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Retention varies by type; for example chat may be kept longer for safety. Some backups may persist for a limited time after deletion.
12Your rights and choices

In short: ask us for your data, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. We'll check it's really your Steam account first.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, to port your data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise them, contact us (section 17). We may need to verify your request, for example by confirming you own the Steam account.
Account deletion: you can ask us to erase the personal data linked to your game profile. We'll handle verifiable requests within a reasonable time unless we must keep specific information for legal reasons. Your Steam display name is controlled through your Steam profile; we may keep copies needed for moderation or dispute resolution.
13Children and families
Our games are made for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13 (or other ages set by local law) without appropriate consent. Online features carry some risk even when moderated, so parents and guardians should supervise minors' online activity. If you believe we collected a child's personal information without proper consent, contact us and we'll delete it.
14Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
15Automated decisions
We don't make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Game systems apply automated rules, such as anti-cheat heuristics or rate limits, that can affect in-game access or progression.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, and the "Last updated" date will change when we do. For material changes we may give additional notice or ask for acceptance as required by law.
17Contact
Privacy questions and data requests: reach us on our Discord server or through the contact options on lorendil.com.
Lorendil Interactive Inc., Canada. Your use of Steam is also governed by Valve's agreements and privacy notice.
6Our social media publishing tools
In short: we use our own tool, Blubbi Studio, to post Blubbi videos to our own TikTok account and see how they do. It only touches our account, never yours.
We publish videos of our games to our own social media accounts, including TikTok, using an internal desktop application called Blubbi Studio. Blubbi Studio connects to TikTok through TikTok's official APIs (Login Kit, Content Posting API and Display API) and is used only by Lorendil staff, for Lorendil's own accounts.
